    From a PA hunter

Well I just got back from Ohio. Had a good time, saw some deer. I meet some nice ppl while there. Shopped a Dicks and the guys working there were great, quick to answer questions about hunting on public land and even where to go. One did say ( I wouldnt go near public land during gun season!! To many idiots???!!!!). But what surprised me the most was all the trash around the parking areas, and even in the woods! Shame. I did pick some of it up and take it back and dispose of it.

Glad you had a good time, and yes we have a bunch of slobs living here. Thanks for helping clean up, I hate litter.

That litter is a hard one to explain Bow Hunter, As an outdoorsman, I can't stand seeing it.... Are there really that many ignorant people out there that just dont care about the trash....just dont get it.. Even deep in, someone was there and drank a beer, enjoying the outdoors, but they leave there cans.....hmmmmmm Dont get it. I guess its in there bringing up! Glad that you enjoyed Ohio, and thanks for your part in trying to keep it clean.

Littering is somthing that has always disturbed me. I'm not sure how much one is brought up has to so with it. My dad leaves things lay in the woods all the time and throws candy wrappers out of his truck window. He knows whatever he leaves in the woods at my place I will pick up and throw away, and I do. Everytime he throws a candy wrapper out the window I get on his case, but to no avail. Now, he won't throw out somthing like a bag of trash from McDonalds or somthing of that size. I guess he figures his tiny candy wrapper doesn't make much difference.
I may be opinionated...but, my opinion is the only one that matters anyway.

    I hate litter bugs too
I hate even more how so many, and not saying all do this, but so many fishermen/women/kids, leave old string all over the place
every public lake state park river up my way is just over run with string all over the shore lines
having a hunting dog learned me to have to be extra careful about where I could let a dog go
cannot tell you how many times my dog came back with hooks in him too
but yes litter just sucks, if you can carry it in carry it out its not that big a deal??
here in PA, you can walk 8 miles into some big timber and look about and find a beer can 90% of the time??
never got that! sad if you ask me!

Sorry. Didnt mean to imply that PA doesn't have slobs/litter-bugs, ppl that have a lack of respect for the outdoors. Maybe it would look about the same, if it weren't for the fact that "where I hunt" its a little more spread out. No " parking lot ", I guess is what I mean. But with Ohio seeming to have a limited amount of public hunting lands, the folks that use it would be even more appreciative of it.
Littering is just disrespectful wherever you live. My next hunting trip to your great state I will continue to carry something out with me. Who knows, maybe someone will see me and pick up something themselves and someone will see them ect. ect.
