Returned To Where I fell Last Year!!!!!

I took a couple pics. The first one is where I fell after the stand broke. The second one is what happened to cause the fall.

well its a good reminder for all to really look at there stands before getting
alot of folks think ladder stands are set up and forget
BUT they have parts that go bad too
I removed the cable supports that hold the foot platform in place with metal, went with 3/16 and 2 inch wide
as I seen cables fail /rust out faster
like that one looks it did

glad your ok now, or getting better too

You really should get a GOOD safety harness 1 in 3 treestand users will have a accident I am sure Your Family would miss You terribly if something worse happened. A good full body harness and climbing rope with prusik knot keeps You attached at all times. Thanks

Was that a manufactured treestand or a homemade one??

It was a manufactured one but it was very old and it was in the tree probably 12 or 13 years.
