Well that's what I'd love to say... but somehow they just don't understand! What can I do to help these critters find the feeder I set up over the weekend? It's a culvert section with the bottom plugged with a hole drilled in it with a stick hanging out with a plate at the bottom... wiggle the stick, corn falls out. I also spread corn all over the place...

So far I've speared molasses over it when I put it up and yesterday peanut butter all over the stick and the plate at the bottom. I also have a salt block next to it, but that's not such a hot topic this time of year it seems.

Any thoughts or tips?

All you can do is wait for them to find it. Do you have a trail cam setup to see if anyone is hitting the feeder?

you can try dumping a carn of cream corn out,as in a can from a grocery store
it smells a TON stronger than feed corn
same can be said with vanilla extract for getting them to check it out
they seem to really like vanilla extract

BUT if your feeder smells like humans, or plastic or???
it can very well keep deer away
this time of yr, they can be extra spooky

I recently spoke to a guy at work... "You should have put it out a month ago!"

Note taken... I'll try that next year! Thanks for the input, I'll have to try out the creamed corn too!
