Here is rookie question - where I hunt, I can't find a single Oak, but there are Hickory trees all over. The hickory nuts drop in "pear-like pods".... does anyone know if deer are drawn to these? I know they consume a variety of "mast" but curious if anyone has any first hand knowledge of deer eating hickory nuts?
