November 16th, was sitting in my Deer Stand, hunting with my oldest son about 30 yards apart in different directions on a ridge top. This was an Urban area east of Cincinnati in our neighborhood. That morning we had seen 4 bucks (one shooter) but no shots available. Bucks were moving but no does. Later that afternoon I got in my stand around 3pm , but there was a lot of noise on the adjacent ridge do to two men on four wheelers. I approached them and asked them nicely how long they were going to be? They agreed to leave so that I could continue my hunt. I got back in my stand along with my son and about 30-45 minutes later we started seeing more buck movement (a large spike about 10 inches and a small 7 pointer). About 4:30 my son was grunt calling and I noticed him motioning toward the ridge top to the side of me. I turned and seen the Buck coming in about 30-35 yards away, I bleated to get him to stop and came to full draw and released my arrow. The shot wasn't great but I hit high and spine shot him and he dropped straight down. I my son couldn't believe it. I got down and shot another arrow to finish him. After that we stayed there about another hour and a 10 pointer came up the ridge between my son and I and he shot that one at 15 yards. We had a great blood trail but we decided to back out once we looked about 200-300 yards. We went back Sunday and it had started raining and looked about 2 hours and never found it still to this day. But I Loved being in the Outdoors and enjoyed Hunting with my Oldest Hunting buddy (My Son Aaron).
