ok guys, I go to school in Nelsonville ohio, does anyone know of any good public hunting around there?

Years ago I used to hunt just outside of Nelsonville. I haven't been down that way in quite sometime (at least 20 years) but there is a lot of state owned forested land there and is open to public hunting. I used to hunt just south of town off of 33. There is also public hunting around Burr Oak state park.

I just returned from that area Sunday. Your in the middle of good deer hunter. To the north is WNF, to the south is Zelesky State Forest, to the west is Tar Hollow State forest. I could go on and on. Go to the Wayne Nation Forest headquarters and they will give you alot of info to get you started. Good luck.
