Harvested this pretty 10 pointer at 0700 on opening day. The hunt was short but sweet. sorry it took so long to post, but couldnt figure out how to post from my phone. just now got to a computer and figured it out. good luck to everyone this year. Alabama season opened today and will be Thursday before i can get to the woods again, can't wait. Good luck to everyone.

That sounds about right from what I heard. But remember they may not have the number of hunters and or the number and quality of deer. I could be wrong on both counts but with bag limits like that I can see how there couldnt be a shortage of deer. But lets let bamabowhunter tell us what it is like down there.

Been awhile since i got on. Alabama you can shoot 3 bucks during one season, and 2 doe a day from oct. 15 thru jan 31. On the note of how many hunters, i would say we have almost twice as many, one reason Alabama being a bigger state. We also have almost twice as many deer, granted Alabama is bigger in size. I will have to say that the quality of deer is alot better in Ohio. We do have some good respectable bucks, but they are few and far between. Alabama changed there laws about 4 years ago, before the law was changed we could shoot 1 buck, and 1 doe a day, or 2 doe a day. Since then i have seen alot more buck, and alot more 3 1/2 4 1/2 year olds. till that law was changed bucks didnt stand a chance bc the mojorty of hunters would shoot whatever walked by. With the new law i think acouple more years of building up and we will have more quality deer running around. Or maybe on the back of my 4 wheeler haha. P.S. ROLL TIDE
