Hey guys whats up I was referred to this forum by a fellow bow hunter for some help. Im a PA resident but im finally old enough to do some traveling and following my passion of archery hunting. Im looking to hunt Ohio next season in search of better western genetics. Can anyone tell me where i can find open public land in ohio to hunt. I dont know anyone out there to help me find a place. Im just interested in big gamelands open to the public to start out. Maybe your wildlife management system has a site that has these posted, or maps that indicate where they are?

Any info helps guys, thanks.

Welcome!! Here is a good page to start with:

http://ohiodnr.com/Default.aspx?alias=ohiodnr.com/wildlife

There in the Hunting section they have a listing of wildlife areas you can check out. From your direction I'd say Wayne National Forest would be one of the better places to start, also look for the links to AEP lands on this page too:

well welcome to the site , what part of PA are your from?
I'm from PA as well

I agree the wayne is maybe Ohio's biggest place to hunt, and all by it are smaller nice places as well
AEP has some good lands too close to the wayne and else where in Ohio
