This was my setup last Saturday evening. This is from a permanant box stand in my creek bottom. This is the best pinch point on my property. This photo is looking out the window on the left side of the stand. The X in the photo is where the deer cross a low spot in my neighbors barbed wire fence. The blue line is a small creek that never runs dry and the yellow area was a small pond at one time but is now just a bog. The deer cross the fence and then travel the six foot opening between the creek and the boggy area.
10343

Then they walk right in front of my shooting window. The stump in this photo is at 17 yards. Mid October to mid November this is the best stand on my property.
10342

Here are a couple that need to grow a little that cruised in front of this stand last fall.
10344 10345

This is what my best pinch point looked like in early July after a storm. Took a lot of work to get it opened back up for deer traffic.

A view from the spot I hunted Monday night. Didn't see anything Monday night
but I saw a nice buck near this stand on Saturday morning when I was hunting
From a different stand. They cut the beans yesterday so I put out some apples,
pears and corn after work yesterday. My friend that lives on the land said he would
check it tonight. If it is gone I left a bunch more to put out. My wife walks every night,
when she returned on Tuesday evening she was excited to tell me about an empty house
that had a bunch of apples & pears in the yard by the sidewalk. I went to gather them
up right away. The guy next door said people stop and pick them up all the time.
Hope this helps me out this weekend. I am hunting Friday eve till Monday eve this week.

I like that setup offtheground. Looks like a perfect place for them to come through. Good cover on both sides to make them feel secure.

Really? I've posted pics of all my bucks in here Before. I will dig them up and post some in the next day or two. I've shot 14 over 130". Two ky the rest oh. All but one is a bow kill. Curt and rob (140class) has seen them. Only mounted my 5 early kills. The rest sit and collect dust even my 178". Always thought I get around to mounting him but never did. Still remember everyone of them like it was yesterday.

Glad to hear you are back at the filming Mike. Will look forward to keeping my eyes out for that one, give us the heads up if you hear something is going to be on any time. Boy, I still never knew you had that many good bucks to your name!! I've seen a couple, including your big bruiser but definitely not the others. Maybe it was before my time? Anyways, hope you and Chris do some damage to them this year and make sure you share it all with us!!

What I'm posting is not the subject of the thread, I hope guys don't mind. In my eyes your living the life most regular hunters dream about. A great place to hunt, working with TV personalites, filming hunts, seeing alot of mature, big racked deer, and on and on. Your a lucky guy. So, the question is, does it change the experience from a passionate fun thing to do, or just to another job, that after time makes it less fun?

Thanks chuck! I will post pics soon. Trying to find them since we've move. And those deer were all shot from 1999 on.

Yes! I'm lucky. Right place right time maybe? I've been into photography since a was 10? I have always enjoyed it. No doubt I've been blessed. Some days tho it can feel like it's a curse. lol. It's tough to hunt a big mature buck by yourself let alone with another smelly guy in the tree with ya. And I would much rather be behind the camera than in front for sure! When I first got into it there wasn't a lot of guys doing it other than the big names. Now? Everyone seems to do it! I got into it at the right time. It's been a humbling experience to say the least. My goal one day is to have all of bho members send in there videos and have a DVD put together. That's real life hunting at its best!
