some last minute new sets

well decided to build a ground blind, getting older and lazy and well, had the time to kill, so
added a few more last minute set up for the season
put up 2 more ladder stands and this ground blind
didn't get any pic's of second ladder stand today, ran out of daylight, will get some tomorro

well here is the ground blind I just made , mostly for rifle season, but can shoot a X bow out of it no problem, and even a compound, but not set up for a compound, as I cannot shoot mine no more with my back issue's

its 6 ft x 6 ft wide, and 6 ft 6'' inside, so lots of room to move about or??
have it of skids so it can be towed if wanted(have to take off the blocks first )
its heavy, needed a tractor to move it, all pressure treated timber, so it should last a long time

I set it up over a food plot of beans, and some brassicia/turnips, about a 6 acre field in all, with a swamp off to the north,
and a big corn field directly behind it(soon to be cut and plowed over so not counting on the corn there at all)
I set it up today at about 5 pm, and had deer in front of it by 6 pm LOL
you can also see one of the tree stands east of the blind about 250 yrds away, with deer in front of it too, and I just put new camo burlap around it today, been behind on prepping stands this yr, just not motivated as in past yrs I guess!

and here is another stand I added new burlap to with some deer in front of it, it is east/south east of this blind, about 250 yrds away from the blind

well they had a few close encounters this past archery season(ended sat here in PA)
one buddy hit a 130 inch 8, and lost it out of the second set in this post, I passed on it 3 times in same stand

so they worked, but not for me, or really, since it ended up in a lost deer,
still looking for it too, going out SUnday for a all day search

Looks like some nice set ups.. I'd like to build me a nice wood ground blind. Makes things a little more convenient.

well I liked the idea of them being made well, and I went all out with this one, all pressure treated lumber
BUT holy crap did it turn out to be heavy
I wanted it to be on Skids so I could move about, and hope to be able to use my ATV to move it
but so heavy as is, an ATV won't budge it, or mine won't, and mine has been used to plwo fields and worked hard
the size I made it 5 ft by 5 ft, seems ideal lots of room, and sitting in the back I am almost inpossible to be seen from outside

I plan to get it up about 4 ft off the ground next yr, maybe higher, and make it more of fixed location then
also might build another one on a old hay wagon, that sits about 4 ft off the ground, being its on wheels, I think would make moving a lot easier
I'd be glad to share anyone with what I used and how I built it too if anyone wanted
