Ok so for the longest time I never hunted squirrels until after the first frost because of worbels. But I have also been told that if you skin a squirrel and find some worbels that you can just cut them off/out and the meat is still good. Does anyone else know if this is true or what do you do in this case?

That is probably true but I wait till frost so I don't have to worry. My biggest thing with squirrels is to shoot young ones.

No idea what worbels are. I've just squirrel hunted when I had time.
After further research this problem isnt in PA but the ODNR says they wont bother the squirrels and they are fine to eat.
