what are they eating in last pic

That funky buck is cool looking!! Any signs of a wound that caused that or you think he ran into something??

Cam is over a mineral block in last pic, a TSC block
and as for the rack, NO no injury can be seen on him or or the other 3 bucks with twisted racks
as for running into something I guess that's possible, but really don't know what causes this
I have had many bucks here grow racks like this over the yrs, almost makes me think its a gene that some seem to pick up from generation to generation
oldest one to last has been 4 yrs before going MIA
I like the strange racks, easier to keep tabs on as they age, but hate seeing a rack grow into an eye, which has happened before blinding, and maybe even killing one on me

10249That's crazy, I have a small spike that looks almost identical to him that I got on my game cam last year. Here's a pic but not sure if you can really see it to well, his right beam runs down his face and kicks out about 3 inches. I actually got to see him walk about 8 yards in front of my stand, could have easily shot him but would rather wait to see what he becomes. I wasnt quiet sure if he had a messed up rack or only one side until I saw him up close. I'm hoping to get another good look at him this year to see how he's grown.
