OK here is a close encounter with a young bear and deer, I know bears will eat and kill a deer if they can catch one, most times in all my yrs about bears and deer, they typically don't care too much about each other until a certain distance is encroached, like they have a safety of"X" amount of feet between each other, before either one, gets nervous, and believe it or not,in my food plots, 99% of the time, its the bears that run from the deer, as the deer way out number the bears LOL
This is a very young bear , and guess he is learning that deer are not easy to catch, and why I guess so many older/bigger bears don't even bother trying to catch a deer, unless one is injured or likes
they know deer are pretty fast on there feet!
BUT Bears do eat a lot of fawns, when there first born, according to mt State game dept, they did a study, and claim bears eat a lot of fawns while there still in the first few weeks of life, then , not so many!

as you can see she didn't wait long to run off when the bear showed up!, but came right back an hr later!

How cool to catch that on your cam mrbb!! I can say one thing, bears can slip through the woods like no other critter without making noise so I wonder if he actually got the sneak on with her. Very cool stuff!!! Thanks for sharing it!!

Yes for how big a bear can be, they sure can move quietly, then big pads on there feet I guess help
and the fact it was a small young bear, odds are he was tryingto sneak up, even attack her, but again, deer are pretty fast, for a bear to catch

Good photos. Wish we had bears here. But, everytime one does show up law enforcement sees them as a danger to humans and destroys them, needlessly in my opinion. If the stupid people would just let them be instead of chasing them in mobs with their cell phones the bears wouldn't be a threat to anyone. Chances of that happening are slim to none though.

Yes sadly too many morons in the world, and bears and other critters will always pay the price.
Bears are not dangerous animals, there just big and powerful, but they try there best to stay as far away from humans as they can
but people keep moving into there home ranges more and more and more, but even city's can exist with bears if people learn to live with them
and that will always be the problem, too many morons in the world
