I'll start this off by posting a pic of my brother and the 7pt buck he got this morning. He passed this buck during bow season but said he couldn't pass it anymore. Its got good mass and tine length just not any width. It was a very heavy deer, we guessed it at 3 1/2 years old. Pic not the greatest because I got there after it was already hanging.

Hunted pretty much all day. Seen a total of twelve doe and three small bucks. Had four guys on a 4 wheeler ruin my evening hunt on a fresh cut corn field. There was two deer in the field when they arrived and probally not a deer for miles after i was done with my rant. Don't mind someone trying to kill a deer, they just need to go about it the proper way. Back at it all day tommorrow, hopefully we get a dusting of snow!

This buck was taken by a good freind of mine that I have mentored since he was 16 and I was 26. I took him on his first deer hunt when he was 16. He lost his place that he had hunted on for 35 years due to the property being sold this past summer. The property that was sold was the property I took him to on his first deer hunt. He was very upset after losing that place to hunt. I've always told him he was welcome to hunt at my place. He finally took me up on the offer for gun season this year, knowing I wouldn't be gun hunting this week. I told him to please pass the little ones, but I knew he didn't shoot does or small bucks. He took this one yesterday at around 10:30. Way to go, Jeff, congrats.

A friend of mine who was hunting from a stand yesterday shot at a buck yesterday morning and missed, he said next thing he knew shots rang out from every direction of people who also were shooting at the Buck!! Said he thought he was a goner!! People were on the adjoining property and opened fire on the buck that was still on the property that he had permission to be on. Main reason I don't gun hunt anymore!

Keep it coming everybody, even though they were killed with guns I'm sure most of us like to see buck photos no matter the weapon.
Here one a daily customer at work showed me at work Monday, Killed in Madison county with a bow.

Some additional photos, some doe management by our group.
Two mature does I got Thursday, one in the AM sitting and one in the PM as a stander while driving. Both were shot from the same tree. Second one was a real Big Mama Doe.

Forgot to post this nice buck my cousin got during the weekend gun season. He killed it while standing during a drive. I was very excited for him, his biggest buck in 30 years of hunting. The buck was a 9 point, with very large bases, and also had a double throat patch. Pretty unique buck.

Had a pretty uneventful bow season only having seen a few small bucks and dealing with warm temps on my days off. Opening day of gun found me in Egypt Valley for the first time. Man what an army of hunters and amish. Heard 30+ shots that day and only saw flashes of a couple deer. Day 2 found me on a tiny private plot just outside of a small town seaking alittle more peace hopefully. They day started out quiet having only seen one doe. As 11 rolled around i start thinking of lunch and getting up from my spot against a grand old oak. I talk myself into staying another half hr and boy i was glad i did. About 10 mins later two shots ring out in the hollow less then a 1/4 mi from me. Soon after i hear brush breaking and here come a doe an this guy on her tail grunting as he goes. She manages to climb up a highwall about 40 yds out in front of me and he does the same. He pauses at the top giving me a neck shot. He flips and tumbles to the bottom of the high wall out of sight. I give him a few mins and head down there and hes piled up in some tree tops from recent logging. My biggest buck to date! Needless to say i was pumped. This area had been logged just wks before. Never let that keep you from hunting a spot!
