Hey everyone. I shot a good buck this morning at 8:45. Hit him a little high and didn't get alot of penetration but thought it was a decent shot. I gave him 3 hrs before i started looking for him. followed pretty good blood for about 300 yds and then it slowed and finally stopped. I did a grid search for about 3 hrs and turned up nothing. Does anybody know of anybody with a dog near Akron that might be able to help look for it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
do a search on the site for tracking dogs
there is a few on here that have good dogs, but I'm not from OHio so don't know what one's are closer to you
also, I know you had good intentions, but doing a grid search can make a ton harder on a tracking dog, best thing to do once you loose it is to STOP, so a dog can then pick up
your walking all over really hurts a dogs ability to help
BUT STILL I would try , a dog is still a HUGE help
good luck
