After missing two deer this year, due to a little excitement. Garrett put the smack down on a button buck.
He even wanted to do the dirty work

Thanks guys, it's been a blast sitting with him in the stand. I had him sit down after the shot, thought he was going to jump out of the stand.
Cut, wrapped, and in the freezer, all but the backstraps. They are going on the grill wed evening, wrapped in bacon, and a bottle of wine, with some friends.

Left both loins whole, wrapped them in bacon, and Seeker cooked them on the grill last night.
Cueball brought over some fresh, hot italian deer sausage.
Garrett, Andy, Seeker, Cueball, myself, and a couple of the spouses, sat around and ate all of it, along with drinking a couple bottles of wine.
Don't get much better than that.

Thanks everyone, and Blackbeard is right, I'm pretty proud of him.
He shot 3d's shoots with me almost every weekend this summer, along with the yard practice time,
so it was time to let him hunt. I set up a hang on stand behind his ladder stand, so I'm out of his way, but can still talk him through the shot.
