I read a short article on D&DH's website today about how EHD had been reported in multiple states throughout the Midwest including Nebraska, Oklahoma, Indiana and farther east. I guess the Chicago Tribune reported at least 250 cases of EHD in 32 Illinois counties this summer and more cases are expected. I can't imagine it won't be a problem in Ohio as well with the dry summer we've had. Anybody find any evidence of it yet? I found a really nice buck a few years ago on my property which I believe was the result of EHD (found in creek in MZ season, only bones left so it had been dead a long time). Only my guess what it was and it could have been hit by car or poached but who knows.

Several counties up here in Michigan have cases of it going on. That first good hard frost can't come quick enough for some of those areas. Several years ago it was reported we had it happen near our farm there in Ohio, probably around the same time you heard about it BB.
B.H....ionia cty, mich. is really bad, OVER 2500 REPORTS, lots of rain slows it down i was told.... cross your fingers for a VERY early frost

BAD NEWS - Ohio has EHD
If no one didn't know. Ohio has been hit by EHD.. Everyone remembers the tons of deer dropping like flys around salk fork and not once was it publicized back in 2007.
Well i just read a article from the News Herald that a DEER FARM in Southwestern Ohio had a bunch of deer infected with it..

Everyone knows Jeff, hes been around a long time writing for Ohio. I think we need to shit cam these damn DEER FARMING>>> i think they are the main cause for diseases in most native animals... JMTC
So if you go to the Ohio DNr site and read what they say, its very tricky and evasive wording.
