That is legit, is it wood framed?

Yes it is..I used plywood sides with a mixture of 2x2's and 2x3's for cross braces. I then placed 2x4 fence covered with a layer of black landscaping geo tex fabric and 2 layers of erosion straw matting. It looks real as hell in person. I could have made it lighter but opted to go heavier as there are cattle on my farm and don't want them destroying it. I placed a hitch on the front with 2x4 skids on the back to drag it around with my atv. It works really well. The deer always seem to enter the fields near the round bales so I thought it would be fun to play around in the early season with my recurve with some skin heads leaving my stands fresh for November when I get serious for some bone.

That thing is pretty awesome! I'm excited to hear how it works for you!
thats a great blind , would you happen to have any pic's before you added the cover/hay to it?
but best of luck, and a cool blind for sure

This is the only one I took while building it.
cool thanks,
I don't have any round hay bales, but in the past I have stacked up square ones to make a blind out of,
I just like the idea of being able to two it about, thats great option
done that on some box blinds over the yrs, makes for fast change in set ups
very sweet.....hope it works

Real nice! Seen one at Woodbury a couple weeks ago that looked like a tree trunk and had a price tag of 3k. Makes it nice when you can build your own.

Awesome set up, I like it!! I can't imagine you can't arrow a few from it.

That's nice right there. I wish I'da thought of that a few years back. I'm sure I would have used some urban tags from it.

That is an awesome blind. Looks so real, the cows will be your biggest problem!

its not real straw or hay so my guess is they will mess with it at first then will leave it alone.. there is a newly developed pasture that was just seeded this year with no cattle on it and thats where this bad boy will be. I just fine tuned it and added a burlap window blind or screen and some rope handles. Everyone that has seen it wants me to build them one. It only took about 6 hours or so but the downfall is I have around 200 in material wrapped up. With leftovers from this one I would have half that in the next one. Like I said im gonna field test this one before I drop anymore money.

That is a really neat idea!!! That would be a great blind to use in an open field when predator hunting too!

on the "round" part of it. did you use any plywood or anything like that? Or is it just 2x2's spaced fairly close together? I've been thinking of building something like this but haven't decide for sure how to do it....
